The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word Of God, without error in the original documents, the complete revelation of God, His attributes and His will for the salvation of mankind.

It is the final authority in all matters of faith and life.

One God
We believe there is one God, Creator of all things, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

(Deuteronomy 6:4; Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 33:27; Matthew 28:19; Ephesians 4:6; John 1:1; Hebrews 1:8; Hebrews 9:14)

Jesus Christ
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ (the Son of God) is truly God and truly man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin.

Being sinlessly perfect, Jesus died on the cross, a substitute and sacrifice for the sins of all. He rose bodily from the dead and ascended to His Father’s right hand where He is now our High Priest and Advocate.

Sin
We believe everyone is created in the image and likeness of God. However, as a result of Adam and Eve’s disobedience, sin entered the human race so that every human being is fallen and sinful, resulting in physical death and spiritual alienation from God.

Failing repentance through a personal acceptance of the forgiveness offered by God through the work of the Lord Jesus Christ, each individual is lost and shall die in his/her sins and be condemned to everlasting punishment.

God’s Remedy for Sin
We believe the death of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross is the full expression of God’s love, grace and mercy.

The shed blood of Jesus Christ, His burial and bodily resurrection provide the only basis for justification and salvation for all who believe.

Each individual who repents and receives Jesus Christ as personal Saviour and Lord is born of the Holy Spirit and becomes a child of God possessing eternal life and is saved from the wrath of God for all eternity.

Holy Spirit
We believe the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, to convict of sin and to regenerate and indwell the believing sinner at the point of salvation.

The Holy Spirit guides, instructs and empowers the believer for godly living, service and edification of other believers in the Church. Each believer is sealed by the Holy Spirit until the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for His Church.

The Church
We believe Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church. The Church, world-wide and local, is not an organization but a living organism, known as the body of Christ and is His representative to the world.

Each local church is composed of believers who gather in Christ’s name as a corporate testimony of the Lordship of Christ to the community in which they live.

These believers meet to worship God, to study the Bible, to pray, to fellowship and to proclaim the Lord Jesus Christ as the only means of salvation.

Church government and discipline are the responsibilities of each local church.

Holy Living
We believe that God requires believers to live holy lives and give witness to their faith in both word and deed.

Practical holiness develops as believers obey the Bible and so become more like Christ in every aspect of the daily lives.

Practical faith, being “salt and light” in society, is shown through caring and loving concern for all those in need starting with members of their own church family.

Baptism and Communion
We believe the two Christian ordinances are Baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper.

Baptism, identifying with the Lord Jesus Christ in His death, burial and resurrection, is for each individual believer who has received Christ as personal Saviour and Lord.

The Lord’s Supper, instituted by the Lord Jesus Christ, was celebrated by the early church on the first day of the week. We believe it is the privilege and duty of all believers to heed the Lord’s request, “This do in remembrance of Me.”

Satan
We believe the Devil or Satan, named Lucifer, was created an angelic being. Since his rebellion against God and resulting fall, he has become the prince and god of this world.

He perverts the Bible, opposes God’s work, seeks to destroy the church and blinds the hearts of unbelievers so they do not accept the finished work of Christ.

We believe that God’s final judgment will result in Satan being cast into the Lake of Fire.

Christ’s Return
We believe in the personal, visible, bodily and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ to establish His kingdom.

This “blessed hope” impacts the daily life and service of the believer.

Eternal Destiny
We believe that at the point of death the believer’s spirit and soul is “absent from the body and present with the Lord.”

The state of the deceased is that of conscious enjoyment of Christ for the believer and conscious torment for the unbeliever.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead. The believer, changed to the likeness of Christ’s resurrected body and raised incorruptible and undefiled, is raised to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord in Heaven.

The unbeliever is raised to judgment in the Lake of Fire, eternally separated from God.
